"Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart." - Kahlil Gibran
Malinda Romine
CPRYT, CYT-200 hr
Malinda began her own journey with yoga in 2000 as a way to balance her stress caused by overworking. Just one night a week of gentle Hatha yoga strengthened her health and improved her self-awareness, impacting many areas of her life, including the choice to stop working in a corporate job and start nurturing her own life through yoga and self-study, and starting a family.
In 2004 she studied yoga in depth with Karen Rich at Shanti Yoga Center, Encinitas, CA, completing her first 200 hour teacher training. She returned the following year to assist the training and teach meditation. She followed her personal interested in the bodymind connection and went on to study Yoga Therapy with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. She completed the 650 hour practicum for Level 3 in March, 2012, and is a certified Level 3 Yoga Therapy Practitioner. She returned twice as an assistant to Soleil Hepner in Level 1 and 2 trainings. To learn more about the school visit their website.
Malinda also completed the 200 hour Yoga Teacher training offered by Phoenix Rising, offering classes at Dang Good Yoga. She is currently enrolled in the the advanced Practitioner Group Facilitator Training Program, having completed the residential portion and now building her first pilot group for this invaluable work. Find out more here!
Inspired to reconnect with her own yoga practice again she recently enrolled in studies with Saul David Raye's Atma 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. The first two modules completed, she is now working through the home-study portion of the program. She also attended the Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner training and is offering Thai Yoga Healing Sessions. She is a Yoga Teacher, Certified Level 3 Yoga Therapy Practitioner with PRYT, Certified PRYT Yoga Teacher, Thai Yoga Therapist and a Member of The International Association of Yoga Therapists.
She holds the highest intentions to be fully present to herself, her students, clients, family and friends in a way that meets them wherever they are, and offers support for growth and change, transmitting yogic teachings from one heart to another.
Malinda has studied with many committed and dear teachers, Karen Abbott, Karen Rich, Jason Brody, Karen Hasskarl, Elisa Cobb, Beth Triano, Soleil Hepner, Michael Lee, Larry Pane, Thich Nhat Hanh, Tricia Kelly, Pradeep Teotia, and Saul David Raye.
